David Dan founded Power Settlements in 2007 and is an expert in ISO/RTO settlements and related software design. He has overseen the evolution the firm’s products and services and today, leads with a strategic vision for market expansion and a hands-on approach to customer relationships and software innovation.

Manages Power Setlements’ customer relationships, sales, and all phases of software development
Designed the PowerCore™ business functionality for the CAISO (including the Western EIM)
Began work in the ISO/RTO space with California Power Exchange as a senior settlement analyst
Deep consulting experience (including with Deloitte) with IOUs, IPPs, power marketers, and municipal utilities

Jason Hebert

Jason’s journey through the energy industry started in 1995 encompassing roles in trading to asset management and software solution selling. At Power Settlements, he is the chief evangelist for the PowerCore™ platform, working with existing and prospective clients to help them automate and streamline their energy operations.

Previously worked for Valero Power, Pacific Gas & Electric, Equitable, AEP, and InterGen/Shell
Bachelor’s degree, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology with honors (Washington University)
System operator licenses in both SPP and ERCOT

Kristin Marzec

Director, Operations & Client Engagement

Kristin Marzec started with Power Settlements in 2019 and is responsible for managing numerous client and internal projects, strategic planning, technical compliance, and ongoing training initiatives. She also oversees Power Settlements’ staff development and compliance requirements.

Previously worked at Corporate Risk Solutions, GridSME, and a large southern California utility
Extensive background in technical writing, project management
Bachelor’s degree (Psychology) from Georgia Southern University with an MBA from Washburn University

Joyce Jenq

Lead Product Manager

Joyce joined Power Settlements in 2020 as Lead Product Manager of the development team, enriching it with her decade-plus experience on trading floors and in regulatory compliance. Joyce began career with Shell Energy in 2008 as a real-time trader and then transitioned to other operational roles. Today, Joyce is focused on enhancing PowerCore’s front-office solutions and is highly engaged with its user base.

Bachelor’s degree from UCSD in Cognitive Science and an MBA from Rady School of Management

Michael Aparicio

Michael has been a cornerstone of Power Settlements since its founding in 2007, having crafted the original blueprint for the PowerCore™ platform. He performed all of the initial software development for the PowerCore’s e-Tagging and ETRM functionality and today, leads software development, leveraging his keen insights in ISO/RTO markets.

Power Settlements’ first employee and primary systems architect
Oversees all new customer (on-site and hosted) deployments and facilitates network and system integration

Million Abraham

Million joined Power Settlements in 2010 and has driven important development projects while also leading numerous, successful customer integrations and interface data exchanges. He has deep expertise in software design and development for energy sector applications.

Pioneered the development of PowerCore’s Visual Analytics product
Oversees interface development and technical systems support

Toni Girard

Manager, Quality Assurance & Client Support

Toni came on board with Power Settlements in 2014 and has been pivotal in quality assurance and customer (user) satisfaction for the PowerCore™ platform. Toni came to Power Settlements from Brady Energy where she worked on multiple, large-scale, back-office projects for market operators domestically (California Power Exchange) and overseas in Korea, Philippines, Western Australia, and Ireland.
