San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (“SFPUC”), the City of San Francisco, CA’s municipal power utility that provides for municipal city loads and owns and operates the 400 MW Hetch Hetchy hydroelectric system, has successfully implemented the Power Settlements SettleCore™ solution for their Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) and ISO needs.
When the City of Pasadena selected SettleCore™ ETRM over a year ago they required an energy trading and risk management (“ETRM”) system to be fully integrated with their Bid-to-Bill shadow settlements system. Their story was a common one among their utility industry peers. They were looking for a vendor that had one single system that encompassed all of their ETRM needs and their Bid-to-Bill needs
Today, Power Settlements installed the SettleCore system at ZGlobal Engineering & Energy Solutions (“ZGlobal”). ZGlobal performs scheduling and settlement services for market participants in the CAISO. ZGlobal required an automated solution from scheduling through settlements. They selected SettleCore as the single bid-to-bill software solution to meet their CAISO needs.
Power Settlements announces one of our largest projects to date.
The City of Pasadena (“Pasadena”), a publicly owned utility in Southern California that is within the CAISO balancing authority, has been a customer of Power Settlements since 2009, when they licensed a single SettleCore module.
In 2012, they performed a review of their various systems and issued an RFP with the goal of replacing multiple legacy systems with a single, completely integrated system for use by their front-office, mid-office, and back-office. After performing a thorough multi-month evaluation of some of the largest ETRM and ISO/RTO vendors in the United States, Pasadena selected SettleCore.
